The Challenge
Scott and Gill requested unique wedding invitations that would reflect their shared love of music. They wanted something playful and personal to set the tone for their celebration.
My Approach
I started by chatting with Scott and Gill to understand what mattered most to them. Music was a huge part of their relationship, so the invitations needed to reflect that. I pulled together visual references inspired by vinyl records, retro gig posters, and classic album artwork to spark ideas.
The design took shape as a playful, personal take on music memorabilia. I created a custom layout styled like a vintage vinyl record for the save the dates, incorporating bold typography and subtle textures to give it character. Every print finishe was considered to make it feel like a keepsake.
The final design was set up for print, ready for high-quality card stock and envelope pairings, and included matching RSVP options to keep the look cohesive.
The Outcome
The invitations received heartfelt praise — they felt personal, fun, and distinctively “Scott & Gill.” The music-themed design became a conversation starter among guests and perfectly set the mood for a memorable celebration.
